On June 28, Kage and Takayuki Watanabe drew caricatures at the Watami Kansai Regional Administration's meeting at the Umeda Metropolitan Art Space in Osaka. They drew 38 of the stockholders in attendance and donated all proceeds to School Aid Japan, a non-profit organization that builds schools for children in Third World nations.

The event also featured a reading of We, the Deserted Island, followed by an interview of author Miki Watanabe and illustrator Kage.
