From Oita Prefectre
Satsu majored in Environmental Design at Yamaguchi Prefectural University. She was already drawing caricatures by the age of 16, and when she was 20, she participated in the NCN Asakusa Mini-con. The global perspectives of the Mini-con opened her eyes to a new level of caricature art, and inspired her to try a variety of new techniques, both analog and digital. While studying abroad, she saw Kage's appearance on the "Soromon-ryu" television show, and was very impressed. Upon graduating from university, she moved to Tokyo and joined the fourth installment of Caricature Japan's professional development course, which she completed at the top of her class. Due to her amazing skills, Satsu was actually promoted to become a shop manager within six months of joining our staff! After one year with us, she participated in her first ISCA International Convention and finished fourth in "Caricaturist of the Year"! And if that wasn't enough, she also took the top two spots for "Caricature of the Year"! Just as Kage says, Satsu truly can make herself stand out as a single individual among 1000 people!
Currently, she is also serving as a lecturer for our courses, and continues to share her bright presence with the world. |
